PrairieBaby Maine Coon Cats
PrairieBaby 2004 Full Foundation Page
Cat in the Hat?
yes and it's Franky's first born son from ..................Sophie!
This page is a show case of our full foundation breedings in 2004 where Franky has sired a total of 14 healthy, strong and offensively affectionate kittens with our full foundation females. (Franky now had a fourth healthy litter with Haley in April 2005. So in total Franky sired 18 healthy babies) Franky is now neutered and living in a wonderful pet home in Winnipeg.

 Canada had 5 healthy babies from Franky!
 * 1 Torbie/White girl
 * 1 Black/White "Tuxedo" boy
 * 1 Brown MackerelTabby boy
 * 2 Brown Tabby/White boys
 Canada was a wonderful birther and a great mother with great milk supply, needing no help with birthing. This was Canada's second litter and again there were no still births or deformities. Surprisingly, all five kittens in this litter were breeding quality. I am keeping two kittens from Canada and Franky. The remaining three kittens are being sold as pets. None will be placed with other breeders. Here are three of the boys:
 Thre boys from Canada and Franky

Sophia had 4 healthy babies from Franky!
* 1 Brown Mac Torbie/White girl
* 3 Red Mac Tabby/White boys
Sophia has also been a super mother with lots of milk and very strong caring instinct - just like her mother Prairiegirl. She did everyting herself which makes her a great breeding cat. No still births or deformities in her litter. One of the boys is living with a breeder collegue now. The other three kittens found lovely pet homes! All four kittens have very cuddly temperament.

Jazzie Jazz had 5 healthy babies from Franky!
* 2 Calico girls
* 1 Torbie/White girl
*1 Red Tabby/White boy
* 1 Brown Tabby/White boy
Jazzie has proven to be an outstanding mother and birther also - just like her mother Prairiegirl. I could not ask for a better breeding female. Jazzie also has very nice milk supply. No still births or deformities in this litter. I am keeping a son from this breeding and re-breed Jazzie Jazz one more time. One of the kittens is going to a breeder friend. The other three kitttens are being been placed as pets. Here is the boy we are keeping:

We are now positive that Franky does not carry dilute! This is wonderful news!! (well for us, haha). For now we are very happy with Franky's babies, especially when considering that he has only been bred to other full foundation cats.
The line of Franky's mother Jessey has had only one litter for us. Jessey's lines have not been shared with other breeders so far because of this reason. Franky's father Peppy had many healthy litters and his lines have been shared very sparingly with select foundation breeders only. Now that Franky has sired 4 healthy litters of good quality, we will slowly start introducing his lines into the general gene pool. Franky is OFA "good" at 17 months. He was clear of HCM at age 22 months. He was clear of PKD at age 17 months. He will be tested a third time for HCM at age 5.
We have only one more full foundation bredings planned in 2006. All these breedings present a 100 % outcross to the Maine Coon breed.
UPDATE on our foundation breeding on August 24, 2007
