PrairieBaby Maine Coon Cats
PrairieBaby Prairiepaws'n (Songs for) Grace PP
(Prairiepaws PP)
Prairiepaws 2.5 years on picture
That's me on all these pictures. I come from a healthy litter of 6. Kinda proud to be Polydactyl on all four feet! My brothers and sisters and me looked so cool that some of us were asked to contribute our traits to the Maine Coon breed (whatever that means!). And by the way, I am F5 and ca. 78 % new foundation which makes me even more special, so they say.........
For what it's worth, I seem to have a perfect chin and profile !
I am proud to be Brock's grand daughter because I have his massive weight and boning. Size and heaviness has been doubled up on from both my parents and three of my grandparents without inbreeding. I have grown into a big girl with mounds of coat. A super healthy girl with great gums and teeth.
That's me, 2 1/2 years on pictures
My Silver is getting lighter and lighter,
mom thinks I am slowly becoming a Shaded Silver
Here is a picture of my body and tail:

my coat and ruff will grow back!
The color of my Silver is much lighter in real.
Here is me in my favorite position :-) And yep, my daughter Charlotti does this funny bunny rabbit begging too!

showing her wonderful boning and coat
I am extremely devoted and loving to my friends Judith and Fabian who really love me. I prefer to lay on Judith's lap for a long time, just like my mother Charlotte used to. They say I have inherited my gentle affection from my father Whalebear PP and many other anchestors. I must admit though that I am a little more reserved with strangers.
Would you like to see me grow up?
I'm around 2 1/2 weeks old here..
See the loyal expression on my dolly face already? :))
11 weeks on pictures
All yours...........

Here is the Pedigree from the database
About our Polydactyl line:
Even though about 40 % of the original Maine Coon breed was supposedly Polydactyl, some associations have closed the doors on most of these precious lines. To my knowledge, by the year 1999, only one active Polydactyl line was left in our breed. A couple have been added by foundation breeders since then. Polydactylism is naturally a wonderful trait of our breed. It is NOT a harmful mutation or deformity.
We decided in 2000 to start a new Polydactyl line here in Canada. We were very enthusiastic about this new creation at the time and proudly called it "The Masterweaver Line". ...............Over the years we have poured a lot of passion into these cats - in order to improve their weaknesses and enhance their natural strenghts. Of course the beauty is in the eyes of the beholder but we think that the project is slowly turning into fine piece of art.
The strengths of our Poly line is extreme affection, heavy bonedness, a moderate type, super coat, wonderful weight and perfect gums and teeth. Since good quality Polydactyl Maine Coons are very rare we had basically kept everything with Poly feet for our own breeding program in the past. We have only recently started to release the first Poly kittens into the gene pool. Please e-mail us for more information on Polydactylism in Maine Coons.
