Remember our kittie pile from 2006? :0)

Remember?
picture taken in my nursery

Looking at this picture makes me want to have babies again so badly! I can still smell their baby breath and feel their warm bellies in my hands. It's hard to believe that it's been many months since these little ones were born.  ........Anyway, before sentiments get out of hand here, I would like to share what the people who happen to own the babies of the above kittie pile have to say about them.   We thought this was a good idea since some of our breedings in 2007 are repeat breedings.

Most of the pictures below were taken at our house. Some were taken by their new owners.

"hi judith,

many thanks again for your addition to our family..............please be
certain we will take wonderful care of your baby.............

the prospect of leaving without any of her kitties.............."

Babies from Prairiepaws and Tigger
pictures taken in my nursery
now living with Ryan and Joanne Reeson in Toronto, Canada

"Hi Judith,

I have attached a few pictures of the babies. My niece came over on the
weekend to see them.

They are the most lovable little boys. They are adjusting really well to the
house so far. We have them situated in the master bedroom at the moment. I
am spending a lot of time with them. The first day, we opened the kennel
and waited for them to come out on their own. I think it was only 5 minutes
and they were both out and started to check out the room.

They purred on the first day we got them. Et decided to come laydown beside
me and go to sleep and then Eeor ran over because he wanted to do the same.
I was amazed on how well they adjusted.

Both boys are so very affectionate towards us which we love. I love their
temperament.

Whiskey and Newton have been sitting by the door at times. We'll slowly
introduce them next week.

Thank you so much for these wonderful boys. They are so beautiful !"

Joanne & Ryan

Here are some pictures of them at their new home. Their new names are Dallas and Texas:
Thank you Joanne and Ryan for sending these wonderful pictures!

"Caramel"
Coral x Tigger Baby
pictures taken in my nursery
now living with Beth and Patrick Shoenut in Winnipeg, Canada

"Hello Judith
Caramel is 2 weeks with us. The cats were getting along well before the end of the second week; even more fun these days. I'll get an album together for you. Imagine you are getting equally good reports from the remaining new adoptive homes. We have both remarked at how apparent is Caramel's good upbringing from his behavior. He's still very cuddly but is growing. We have named him "Cyril" (a cat from literature and a name Patrick became fond of) but often call him "Tank". "

Caramel's new name is Cyril. Here are some pictures taken by the new owner:
Thank you Beth and Patrick for these marvelous pictures!

Doritos and Bob
two babies from the breeding Coral x Tigger and Prairiepaws x Tigger
pictures taken in my nursery
now living with Kristen and Sheldon Unrau in Niverville, Canada

"Hi Judith.
I just wanted you to know that the boys are doing great. They are eating and playing like crazy. They have not had any problems adjusting. They are such good pals. We are so glad that we got the two of them. We couldn't imagine one without the other. They want to explore the entire house, but they are restricted to our bedroom. We let them out under supervision to wander the rest for short periods of time.

Thanks so much for raising such beautiful kitties. They love the attention from the kids. Your family's love and affection in socializing them shows. "

Kristen

And guess what? Kristen and Sheldon and the kids visited us here in Thunder Bay!!! And they brought Doritos and Bob and also their mom with them.  We had a great visit with the whole family.

PIctures taken at our home. Those guys turned out to be really big and heavy. They are not even a year old yet. What a great breeding this was!

Oreo (on the left)
baby from Prairiepaws and Tigger
pictures taken in my nursery.
living with Holly Sanders in Edminton, Canada

"Happy New Year Judith!
Sorry, I didn't have e-mail access. I hope that you found a nice new home in
Ontario.
Oreo (now Floyd) is doing wonderfully. I think that he's doubled in size in
the last two
weeks alone. His colour is also developing nicely. He's very brave ('ten foot
tall and
bullet-proof' as my Dad says) and is becoming increasingly more cuddly. I will
send
pictures when I get a chance. Cheers!

Holly

Here are some recent pictures of Oreo:

 Quite the clown!
pictures taken at owner's house
Thank you Holly!  What a sweet boy!

We added this l part from a recent e-mail because we thought it was so well written and so cute:

"Floyd snores very loudly. Sometimes he wakes me up at night and then I
have to wake him up so that I can get back to sleep, but then he wants
to cuddle because I'm awake and so I don't get back to sleep for
awhile. He's such a sweetie, but he has some peculiar habits. He
doesn't sleep on soft stuff (sofa, carpet, my bed, cat bed) very often
or for very long. He likes to sleep on the glass coffee table (which
he clears of everything else) or on the shelf above my desk (where he
can shove stuff off of the shelves below him). Often I find him
sleeping happily in what looks like a very uncomfortable position:
whichever side he's sleeping on, he tucks that front leg behind him.
He loves catnip and it's fun to get him and the other cats 'stoned'
together. He likes to chase laser lights. I run the red spot toward
him and then put my finger over the light at the last moment before it
touches him. He thinks that it has gone under him and freaks out
trying to find it. Well, have to go wrap up some experiments. Cheers!
Holly "

Piglett and Raisin (Torbiegirl)
Babies from Prairiepaws x Tigger and Coral x Tigger
pictures taken in my nursery
now living with Dr. Celine Bouldoires Mumentaler in Switzerland

Dr. Celine Bouldoires is a Maine Coon fancier in Switzerland who is interested in in promoting Polydactylism in our breed. I am thrilled to say that our two kittens even have their own page!! Celine went way out and made up a beautiful homepage with pictures and information for them. On this page you will find Piglett and Raisin (now called Biscotti and Barbara Boo) and also a relative of them, called Avena (Avena also comes from one of our breedings in 2006.)
Have fun looking at their pictures!

And here are some of the pictures I liked the best that were taken in Switzerland:

Aren't they stunning?
Thanks to Celine for these adorable shots!

We will soon create a page for our 2007 references as well!
